Chef doeuvre romantique entre Seoul et NYC, triste mais beau et doux. Casting et cadres sublimes. Montage qui nous embarque. Je vais suivre cette ralisatrice: Celine Song.

I often forget to join in with this, but NOT This week. A great selection, with only one final Christmas movie getting in the way of what I hope will be a run of quality as I play catch up with some of the more acclaimed 2023 movies. Ratings not there yet, as I save these things until blog posts/reviews are written.

Finally saw tonight. Its a movie about ambition, class, and the immigrant experience. Oh, yeah, and your bestie from childhood that you loved and lost touch with.

Worth watching.

The second half of 2023 had me finding moments to enjoy cinematic storytelling again. Of the films watched, I walked away from Of An Age, Past Lives and A Thousand and One having felt more human for the experience. Each of them offered a unique story and struggle that was extremely easy to connect with and sometimes even correlate with personal life experiences.

J'ai t voir le . C'est trs sensible, mlancolique. a a bien touch mon petit coeur mivre d'artichaut mis nu ds les premires minutes. Cette histoire d'enfants amoureux, qui se perdent puis se retrouvent et passent leur vie d'adulte se demander ce qu'ils seraient devenus si elle n'avait pas migr au Canada puis New York, c'est vraiment mignon.

est un petit bijou d'une dlicatesse absolue sur une non-romance tale dans le temps. Tant de choses exprimes dans le jeu des deux rles principaux servis par des dialogues qui touchent au cur.
Ce film sera dans mon top 10 de l'anne.
